"...on the Internet you can’t control what you’re reading. In books they tend to state absolutely everything. So, there are different styles to how you read a book. I have a friend who will read a book cover-to-cover, just reads the entire thing, whereas I tend to dip into the chapters or sections that I want from the book. Online you can do a ‘find’ or ‘search’ and it brings up the bit that you are already after, so you don’t read around the subject so much. You read the bit that’s directly relevant to what you need... later...
I have started to use eBooks, because Google has like a full book on the Internet. You can then find key words in that book to find the section you want quite quickly. Whereas, in a normal book, you would spend ages."

"I do get books out, but most of the time you can get the information you need off the Internet. Lots of lecturers don’t like Internet referencing, so you need to find books with roughly the same sort of thing for refs."
