Disability: Dyslexia
Dyslexia comes under the umbrella term Specific Learning Difficulties or Differences (SpLD) which may also include Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) covering a wide range and variation in the type of difficulties linked to written language, organisational and time management. Visual and auditory perceptual skills also vary with for example strengths in design and idea generation but perhaps difficulties with co-ordination, hand writing and numeracy. Concentration, memory and study skills may be assisted by both human and technology support with the acquisition of various coping strategies to enhance learning.Further information: British Dyslexia Association.
