Kurzweil 1000 works with total keyboard navigation for both scanning through ScanSoft OCR as well as screen reading of text. Users can bookmark, make notes, skim or summarise text. PDF files and files from other applications can be imported to Kurzweil for customisation to suit the user and there is foreign language OCR support covers over 50 languages.
