Summary of course taken

I have just graduated from an MSc course in Race car aerodynamics havig taken a BSc in Aerospace engineering in Israel. I have now almost finished the first year of my PhD where I have chosen to study fluid mechanics specialising in turbulence. I am sponsored by the University of Southampton, often coming into the office very early, as I tend to be more productive in the morning. It just seems easier!

Description of strategies used.

During my MSc I rarely went to the library but this has changed since starting the PhD. I depend on the internet to look for journals and have used Google as a spell checker when looking for complex words whilst writing my reports.

When lookiung for any journal I use EngineeringVillage website for searching with keywords for particular subject in abstracts. If the library has a digital license I directly download the article or i can get through the library a hardcopy. Another way to look for an article once its title is known is to use the following search command in google - "filetype:pdf $", where $ is the article title.

Since my first language is Hebrew, sometimes while looking for the right word I need to be able to type in Hebrew. In order to do so I have installed on my Windows computer the hebrew language (There are many other languages avaliable). This helps me to use my own language in a Hebrew - English electronic dictionary or any website.
