graph with just colour or hatched lines"At school, I would often obtain dreadful results in Art and Geography. At the time I had no idea I was colourblind. It wasn’t until I had my vision tested that I discovered I had a green colour deficiency. I lived with this problem unaided until I joined University. For my final year dissertation I decided to explore this problem conducting a project focusing on real end user needs.

The two products I found most helpful were Colour Explorer and eyePilot and I adapted the interface for eyePilot as part of my dissertation."

I found that if I could label colours or use other methods to change colours I could cope. Changing the Windows system colours and using the programs mentioned has helped in this way. I still have problems choosing a car as I like to think I am choosing racing green! deep red car
