Google Docs Home Page"On Google they have things called “Google Docs”. Which is basically an online simplified version of Word, which you grant access to. I used it for my IPL and granted access to everyone in the group and the facilitator. You can go on and edit the text. But it lets you see who’s typing, when they’re typing. Everyone has access wherever they are, because it’s an Internet-based piece of work, and as the creator you get to see every time someone’s been on and done something. It automatically saves the changes every couple of minutes or so. There’s a section called “Revisions”, so you can just go in there and see at what time someone went in and typed something."

Here is a sample screen shot of some revisions made to a document with the number of the revision, the time in how many days, weeks or months ago and who made the revision. If text is changed this is also seen and it is possible to compare two revisions.

Quote

"As a healthcare professional we have IPL (Interprofessional Learning), getting all the healthcare professions to work more efficiently when we go into the NHS, but we have to work through the Forum and it’s really awkward, because you have to constantly refresh the page. By the time you’ve typed in the text that you want to say, someone else has typed in exactly the same thing or the opposite..."
