Strategy: Adobe Reader page layout and Read Out Loud

"In Acrobat there's some buttons... Well, you can have the one that makes it “View two pages”amd it reads out the whole document, but doesn’t read it very quickly so...."
Go to to the Tools Menu -Customise Toolbar and down to Page Display Toolbar - check Two-Up 

To activate Read Out Loud - go to the View Menu - Read Out Loud - choose how much you want read or use Shift + Ctrl + V to read a page and Shift + Ctrl + B to read to teh end of a document. It is possilble to pause and stop but not to set the speed of speeh in version 8.0

Want to have text read out loud? Adobe Reader version 9 - "You can use the Select Tool to locate text. Activate Read Out Loud, and then choose Tools > Select Tool. Use the up/down and left/right arrow keys to navigate through the document. You can hear where the Select Tool has been placed, such as a heading or paragraph."
