Strategy: Mouse clicks slowed
5 Keywords: Mouse Clicks, Slow Speed, Dexterity, Mobility, Accuracy
"I have slowed down time for a double click and the pointer speed, through the Windows accessibility options, not a special mouse. Quite often I don’t use the mouse very much.
I use the keyboard and keyboard shortcuts rather than the mouse."
"Here I am writing an e-mail with wireless mouse and multimedia keyboard which has programmable keys on the top row."
On Windows XP and Vista go to Control Panel (in classic mode) - Mouse and reduce the double click speed to slow. Then use the pointer options tab to change the speed again to slow. The first image shows a view using Windows XP and the second the view in Vista.

"I have also slowed the mouse movement across the desktop because I can't use it if it is too fast. My dexterity is crap! This also means I can't write by hand at all."

Fed up with double clicks in Windows Explorer? Open folders and files with a single click by going to My Computer in Windows XP - Tools - Folder Options - check the single click box. In Windows Vista, Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization, and then Folder Options - General tab, and then click Single-click to open an item.
