Strategy: Firefox - Enabling text menus

"In most cases I tend to leave them (icons), but sometimes I make them a bit larger. But again it is normally the text I am more concerned about. Mostly enabling text labels rather than the images of which I’ve no idea what they are. Some of them you can display as either pictures or text. Certainly like FireFox Web Browser where it says 'Back' and 'Forward' in text, rather than just pictures."
It is possible to achieve this cutomising your Firefox toolbar - Go to View and the toolbars - choose the one you wish to see then go to customise. Go to Show - choose Text from the drop down menu.

Depending on the work I usually aim for between 18 and 24 point text – pretty large. I have a large monitor and I find having a large monitor with large text is a much handier solution. Because I have got a wide screen monitor I can actually view Word documents with 200% zoom and have it fit left to right on screen – a 20 inch wide screen.

"I tend to have all my windows as icons, again coming from a Mac background I’m used to that... I don’t get on too well with smaller text."

If you just want to enlarge the icons and menus on Mozilla Firefox try the add-on HiVis large
