Strategy: Firefox add-ins and adaptations

3 Keywords: Mozilla Firefox, Web Browser, Accessibility

Firefox showing Google home page"My favourite web browser is Mozilla Firefox. This is because of the many add-ons that it has. One of my favourite add-ons is the one where you can change the background colour of any website to be the colour that you want. There was also another good one that allows you to enlarge the size of pictures."

At home, I have changed the background colour on some websites using an add-on to the browser Mozilla Firefox. So my Google website has a dark blue background instead of white. It's easy on the eyes that way. But generally I don't feel the need to change backgrounds."

I have used the program 'Wink', a free presentation tool that allows you to capture screens, to show how I use Mozilla Firefox.  Download the Wink presentation (17MB Flash file).  Internet Explorer will allow keyboard access to the file.  The download may be slow so these three sections illustrate the main points.

Tip

Firefox Accessibility Extension and many other add-ons can be generally helpful for testing websites for accessibility as well as Accessibar for adding speech, colour changes etc.
