Strategy: WebVisum to get round captchas
6 Keywords: Captcha, Log-in, JAWS, Web 2.0, WebVisum, Firefox
"I'm a Jaws user, minimum version 8. I stick to Internet Explorer 7 because of a lot of trouble I had with IE 8, though I am slowly getting the hang of Firefox and WebVisum to get round captchas, which has a keystroke to paste the text of the captcha in the relevant edit box."
To get WebVisum you need to download the Firefox add-on and then as the help file says, "to fully use the WebVisum features you should have a WebVisum account and you have to be logged in while browsing. WebVisum will alert you if you are logged in or not, when you start Firefox." Then you use Ctl+alt+6 for the correct letters to be added to the Captcha form.

"If I want to log into a site that has a Captcha, I cannot read the image with my JAWS screen reader and cannot always work out the audio version if it is offered!"
