Strategy: References and text captured on mobile phone

"Whilst in the library looking at books for a research for an essay that I am writing I wanted to know the author's thoughts and feelings about the subject that they had been writing about, therefore all I really needed was the introduction or the conclusion. So I took pictures on my phone, which is a Sony Ericsson 3.2mpx - same as my digital camera - I uploaded them onto my computer, brought them up in Microsoft Picture and Fax viewer or Microsoft Office Picture Manager, zoomed in on them, could read them at my leisure, highlight things, type them up from having two windows open at the same time - that kind of thing, without having to take a huge book home, which is obviously really heavy and cumbersome and worrying about trying to get it back to the library on time.
Also those books that I took notes from in the library, I would take a photograph of the front cover or the inside cover with the publisher's details etc so that I knew I could reference them in the future and obviously that is very helpful as you can just look at photos and you don't have to go back to the library and go searching through mounds of books to try to find the book you were using so can reference it in an essay. "I don't want to have to carry a whole book back to my house when all I need is one small section and it is not always easy to make notes or read quickly."
