"I don't have time to listen to all those lectures again even if I recorded them all. My solution is to record them all. Immediately after the lecture, while the content is fresh in my mind, I make the decision to erase the recording if I am confident with the material and my notes, or to keep it if there are things I want to revisit.
When listening to recorded lectures, it can be time consuming and boring. To lessen the time I spend doing this, I play back the lecture at 1.75 times speed. My dictaphone allows me to return to normal speed at the touch of one button [on the side] so I slow it down again to listen properly when an interesting bit comes up."
