[Most websites are made for] "I think its about 1024 by whatever it is and I find that a little bit too small for comfort.. I don’t wear glasses, but I just didn’t find it very comfortable to read so I do the thing where you press Ctrl and scroll with the mouse button [wheel] to make the font bigger when I am using the brower - like that [demonstrating] and you press Ctrl and do that [Ctrl + and Ctrl -] - I do that quite often."
Below is a flash video with a Google search page with zoom in and zoom out using keyboard strokes.

"I have the Quill mouse, which is a mouse that’s kind of on its side (which alleviates the pain and stops further strain) and I just find it more comfortable viewing things in a larger font."

This Browser Zoom Comparison is a little out of date, but if illustrates the differences between the browsers when you want to see text and images enlarged as you surf the web. Ctrl + to enlarge and Ctrl - to shrink if you are using Windows and Ctrl +0 returns it all to normal.
