Strategy: Microsoft PowerPoint for summarising

"I love PowerPoint. It’s really nice. You can make it pretty. I like bullet points and things to be quite succinct. In York we had 2 seminars a week and each group had a research paper to read, and we had to reduce it down and present it. It’s a good way of making you think about what you want to put down, rather than just typing until the cows come home."
The speaker notes are useful for putting in a transcription if you want to use an audio file - this helps if the file has information that may not be available when the slides are downloaded or the quality of the sound is not good.
