"Being able to sit at home and save the PDF files to my computer, open them whenever I want, extract things if I need to and make notes from it, and then write the essay from that is so much easier. If there were more E-books, that would probably be useful, but because we mainly use journals, it’s probably what I find easiest."

"Always Google / Wikipedia like everyone else. Usually I’d use Ovid and Blackwell Synergy (now Wiley InterScience) mainly with EndNote using the citation export or download. (link to a help file)
Google Scholar I’ve been using lately. I don’t use web forums for specific subjects – only generally. I always use manuals and tutorials in Blackboard mainly, and Google Books as they sometimes have previews of books and obviously Scholar and all the Journals. I’d much rather do that than go to the library. It’s much easier. It has made a huge difference! Before I came to university I didn’t realise that everything was so electronic nowadays. I was quite involved with computers always, but if you don’t have an email account here you are pretty stuffed really!"
"E-learning has changed everything. 20 years ago I probably would have found it a lot harder. I would have relied on other people to do photocopying and everything for me – whereas, with essay-writing in terms of the research is so much easier: to have it all there on the computer, to be able to read at your own pace. I don’t like the library environment at all. I find it quite distracting."

"To be able to look up journals on-line and to be able to do it at home without going anywhere near a library. It is just so much easier as I actually find the library pretty daunting, and it’s a huge place to look round and to try to find journals in. "
