Roger Black on BBC Sport"I have downloaded them [podcasts].  It’s quite handy for me.  I have used them on the BBC Sport website and for general entertainment – Radio 5 live, 606 radio shows, etc.  For learning there was a radio broadcast last year – 5 live, and it was to do with school and sport.  They had Roger Black involved.  He went into schools and tried to do some interventions.  They had a lot of people from schools, and “Sport England”, giving their viewpoints and I actually used it to do an essay that I was doing for my placement.  I was working within a school.  I found that a relevant issue in PE.  I used this Podcast to get hold of the actual show... if I’m looking through a journal, or an article, I have better comprehension when I’m listening to something."

The BBC have a very clear guide on 'Getting started with Podcasts'. Most BBC podcast episodes are only available to download for seven days before being removed.

Quote

"Plain reports can be boring but a podcast where there is a debate can make a subject more enjoyable with different tones of voice emphasizing things - this helps me to identify a problem such as Roger Black talking about the lack of school sport and playing fields. When he was talking he was very passionate which helped me remember the issue."
