Strategy: CiteULike for references
6 Keywords: References, Bibliography, Numerical Format, CiteUlike, EndNote, Bibtex
As I do not have EndNote at home I am unable to use it for my references so I have tended to use CiteULike. This is a very simple online reference manager and I can collect all the papers I want in one place, set up as many libraries as I want and transfer the information to my article once I am back on the campus and have access to EndNote.
There is the advantage that I can also share my library if there are other authors writing the paper. Once the paper is finished and the reference collection is complete I export the collection to EndNote or BibTeX.
This allows me to choose the way the bibliography has to be presented depending on the journal requirements. The example shown below is numercal format. The export feature is found in the same menu as the library view or above each reference.

Adding the 'Post to CiteULike' Bookmark or Favorite can be helpful when using Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer as this allows for instant additions to your CiteULIke online reference library without having to go to the actual website.
