Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation tool used by many, offering the chance to build text with multimedia slides. The slides can also be used for planning and organisation with the ability to shuffle cards. Accessibility can be a problem and it helps to use the Microsoft templates and speaker notes.
LecShare have produced a program to remind users where to add items that can make it easier for screen readers to navigate slides and work with multimedia. The Illinois Accessible Web Publishing Wizard for Microsoft® Office also provides support.

There are many accessibility features built into the Microsoft Office products although they do not all work in the same way and differ between versions. Keyboard shortcuts, colour changes and zooming in to magnify items are included along with basic screen reading for menus and start up.

The wizard is easy to use and offers text versions of the documents alongside graphical versions. The application does not at present work with Vista or Microsoft Office 2007.
