Blackboard is a Virtual Learning Envrionment used by many universities. The company offer a series of Quick Tutorials about the teaching and learning environment. Several universities offer support for staff and students including the University of Southampton Blackboard e-learning site.
Accessibility of Blackboard's content management system is possible for use with most assistive technologies, however much depends on the person setting up the navigational style and adding content that is accessible in its own right. An example of what a screen reader user may encounter with Blackboard navigation has been provided by Madison Area Technical College Disability Services. There is also the University of Southampton guide to designing a Blackboard course.
